Motorola will unveil the Moto G on November 13. While the company itself has yet to confirm that this will be a cheaper alternative to the Moto X, rumours have not been shy about revealing details. Amazon.co.uk added further confirmation earlier today by accidentally listing it on its website for a short time.
The listing identified the device as the Moto DVX/XT1032 and revealed a few details that had not nailed down yet. It now appears that the Moto G will come with a 4.5-inch HD (720×1280) display rather than a 4.7-inch one as some rumours suggested. It will also come with a quad-core processor (likely a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro) and the coloured backplates seen in other rumours. The listing also promises a “guaranteed upgrade,” suggesting that, much like the Moto X, it will not be long before the Moto G is upgraded to Android 4.4 KitKat.
The listing also comes with the following description:
Moto G is designed for all the things you want to do – taking and sharing photos, watching videos, checking scores, getting directions, listening to music, you name it. Moto G also gives you choices. Different backs you can switch out to reflect your unique style, and access to more than one million apps on Google Play to create your own mobile experience. Every detail is just how you’d like it.
As for pricing and availability, the listing suggests that the Moto G could launch as early as November 14 and sell for £159.99 (about CA$270) SIM-free and with 16GB of onboard storage.
