One of the most compelling features about the Moto X is the fact that it can be customized in over 2000 ways with Motorola’s Motomaker and a choice of backplate and front plate colours, seven accents for the side power and volume buttons and lens ring, power-on greetings and custom wallpapers. Unfortunately, it has only been available to AT&T customers so far. But it appears that Motorola is finally ready to begin broadening the program to other U.S. carriers.
According to the usually reliable @evleaks, MotoMaker will become available to Verizon customers on November 11.

Given that Verizon is the largest wireless carrier in the U.S., the move suggests that Motorola is ready to ramp up production volumes out of its assembly plant in Texas. It also likely that Motorola recognizes that customization is a key selling point for the Moto X and that it is needed as competitors bring out new flagship devices just in time for the busy holiday season.
It remains to be seen if the expansion of the Motomaker program will include the rumoured wooden backplates.
There is no word yet on further expansion to other carriers and other countries.
