Images of the upcoming Apple iPhone 5S continue to leak and continue to reveal new details. The latest ones were once again obtained by MacRumors.
A new picture comparing the insides of the iPhone 5S (on the left) and iPhone 5 (on the right) once again confirm a number of internal changes including a larger capacity battery. But like the current model, it appears to still sport 1GB of RAM.
A closeup of the processor reveals a new model number: APL0698. With the A6 chipsets carrying APL05XX or APL55xx model numbers, this suggests (like previous rumours have) that the iPhone 5S will sport a new more powerful Apple A7 chipset. An additional number seems to suggest that the processor may have been manufactured by TSMC rather than Samsung. Rumours about such a partnership have been around for some time but only today came a suggestion that it would only come to fruition in time for the next generation A8 chipsets.
A closeup of the new flash reconfirms what we saw yesterday: The iPhone 5S will sport a dual-LED flash with different coloured bulbs. This could allow for different flash lighting to improve photo quality under different light conditions.
All in all, the increasing Apple iPhone 5S rumours suggest that we are finally nearing an official announcement.
