Microsoft is set to expand its retail presence in Canada in 2014. Having opened its first Canadian Microsoft Store in 2012, it has announced that a new store will open in Missisauga’s Square One mall on February 8, 2014. As with other locations, it will feature a selection of Windows 8, Windows Phone 8 and Xbox products and accessories.
The teaser promises “a lot of fun – and dancing – during our Grand Opening,” suggesting that, as it has done in the past, it will celebrate the opening with some celebrities and a show. For example, it opened its Yorkdale store with Wayne Gretzky and Train (of Drops of Jupiter fame).
The new Square One Microsoft store will be located on Level Two near Guest Services.
The Square One store will join the store in Yorkdale Mall as Microsoft’s second Microsoft Store in Ontario. Microsoft also has a kiosk in Toronto’s Eaton Centre as well as stores and kiosks in Edmonton and Vancouver.
Microsoft is also planning to open two additional Microsoft Stores in Canada in 2014.
