Rogers and Fido were the first Canadian carriers out of the gate to announce that they would soon be carrying the Google Nexus 5 (if you don’t count WIND Mobile’s premature confirmation). We can now add a few more carriers to the list courtesy of Best Buy. As it stands today, the following will soon be offering the latest Nexus smartphone:
- TELUS
- Rogers
- Bell
- Fido
- Koodo
- SaskTel
- Videotron
- Virgin Mobile Canada
- WIND Mobile
It’s likely that the Nexus 5 will also be carried by at least some of the regional carriers. Videotron has already announced its plans to offer it and it could soon be followed by others such as SaskTel and Eastlink.
There is no word on when the carriers above will launch the Nexus 5 but it could be as early as November 7 according to earlier rumours. But you’ll be able to pick it up at Best Buy if one is closer than a carrier store.
We’ll update this list as more carriers confirm their plans.
Update (11/4/2013): SaskTel has confirmed plans to carry the Nexus 5 and has been added to the list.
