LG may have confirmed that it will soon launch a new tablet, the LG G Pad 8.3, but it has yet to reveal much about the tablet. Fortunately, a few rumours have begun to fill in some of the details.
First, an alleged image of the tablet, next to the LG G2, has been found on Korean website MovePlayer. In fact the image is a few days old. The Google translation is pretty rough but the image appears to be a concept of what the tablet may look like rather than a leaked press image (if we misunderstood, please drop us a note to let us know).
A second source has also chimed in with some specifications. According to Korean website Newstomato, the LG G Pad 8.3 will come with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, an 8.3-inch WUXGA (1920×1200) display, 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. It will be available in both Wi-Fi and LTE variants with the latter possibly headed to Verizon in the U.S. in late September. There is no word on additional availability of the tablet beyond South Korea at this time.
With a late September release in the cards, it is looking even likelier now that LG will unveil the G Pad 8.3 at an event at IFA 2013 in early September.
