Samsung may have been the first to release a smartphone with a flexible display when it unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Round last week but its competition is not far behind. LG began mass production of flexible displays earlier this month and is now expected to unveil its first smartphone with a curved display next month. Rumours have suggested it will be known as the LG G Flex. Press renders have now surfaced giving us our first glimpse at what it could look like.
As sketches hinted, the LG G Flex will come with a display that curves along the vertical axis rather than the horizontal one as the one on the Samsung Galaxy Round. It is reminiscent of the Google Nexus S but with a more pronounced curve to it.
The only additional detail that we have is that the display will be a 6-inch one as past rumours suggested. Other specifications remain unknown as do availability and pricing.
