A leaked image of the homescreen of the upcoming Nokia Lumia 1520 (codenamed Bandit) phablet has given us our first glimpse at what Windows Phone 8 will look like on a Full HD (1080×1920) display.
The image confirms the addition of a new column allowing you to put up to six small tiles across or one large and one medium if your tastes run towards larger tiles.
Here is the full image:
While Windows Phone 8 does not currently support Full HD, the GDR3 update coming with the Lumia 1520 is expected to add support for this resolution as well as add support for multi-core processors, a rotation lock, a Driving Mode option and more.
Rumoured specifications for the Nokia Lumia 1520 include a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Windows Phone 8 GDR3, a 6-inch FHD (1080×1920) display, a 20MP camera and a polycarbonate body with a slight bump for the camera (much like on the Nokia Lumia 925).
One last thing: Have a look at the time displayed by the clock: 15:20. A sly reference to the model number of the Nokia Lumia 1520?
