Microsoft has released a new Windows Phone ad, this one featuring the Nokia Lumia 1020. If you’re a parent who’s ever had to attend one of your children’s school concerts, the ad will resonate.
A kids’s play is one of those times when you want to get the perfect shot. But most phones aren’t capable of capturing quality photos at a distance. Even if it’s just a few rows back. With the Windows Phone Nokia Lumia 1020 you get 41 megapixels so every seat is the best seat in the house.
Lost in a sea of tablets (have I menioned how people taking pictures with their tablets is a pet peeve of mine?) and smartphones that cannot adequately capture the moment are two parents sitting calmly in the back row with their Nokia Lumia 1020:

The Nokia Lumia 1020’s 41MP PureView camera comes with optical image stabilization, 6-lens Zeiss optics, and a xenon flash. It simultaneously shoots 38MP and 5MP oversampled images.
The ad certainly does a better job of conveying the advantage of Nokia’s PureView camera than the Nokia Germany ad for the Lumia 925 we saw earlier this summer.
Sadly, the commercial is not far from children concerts in our neck of the woods. Now if only Nokia would bring the Lumia 1020 to Canada.
