Curious to know what the oft-rumoured HTC M7 will look like? The usually reliable @evleaks has now given us our first clear look at what looks set to be HTC’s next flagship smartphone. The image reportedly comes from a short animation that shows new users how to install the SIM card into their new device.
A couple of details suggest that we are not looking at the final design though. Most telling is that the bezels are not clearly defined. No branding is visible either.
Earlier rumours have suggested that the HTC M7 will come with a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, Google Android Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5.0, a 4.7-inch Full HD (1920×1080) display, and a 13MP camera (possibly with a Sony IMX135 Exmor RS sensor). The report adds that the HTC M7 will come with an IR port located allowing it to function as a universal remote control.
The HTC M7 is expected to be unveiled at MWC 2013 in late February. It could launch only weeks afterwards. It could have broad distribution, including at least two U.S. carriers. There is no word yet on Canadian availability. It could sell for “just north” of US$600 unlocked.
