Saturday evenings are a good time for a bit of conjecture. A UAProf (User-Agent Profile) file found by SamMobile on Samsung’s own website suggests that the manufacturer may be planning a new Galaxy series of devices. The file is for a device identified as model SM-V100T.
SamMobile assumes that Samsung’s new model number convention helps identify the Galaxy device family:
- SM-C – Samsung Mobile Camera series
- SM-N – Samsung Mobile Note series
- SM-T – Samsung Mobile Tablet series
If so, what does the V stand for and what kind of devices can we expect to find in the new SM-V family? Could the V stand for Vision or View? Could its work on flexible displays culminate in the launch of a new family of devices? It does not sound so farfetched.
As for the SM-V100T itself, the UAProf file reveals only that it will have an HD (720×1280) display and an ARM-based processor.
