Rogers Wireless this week sent us an infographic that looks at how far the wireless carrier has come since launching LTE two years ago.
Now covering some 24 million people in over 120 cities (and counting), Rogers also boasts that it is up to twice as fast as the LTE networks of its competitors (based on tests comparing average download speeds across Canada within Rogers LTE coverage areas).
Perhaps most impressive is how much data Rogers now handles. Some 200 terabytes of wireless data go through its Rogers Network Operations Centre on a daily basis. That’s the equivalent of 400,000 hours of CD quality music a day!
If nothing else, the infographic shows how far we’ve come in the last two years. We’ll have to see how things look in another two years.
