Alleged specifications for the HTC One Max resurfaced once more this year courtesy of Steve Hemmerstoffer, the editor for French blog Nowhereelse.fr. Most of this information falls in line with what previous rumours have suggested. Additional information revealed includes the dimensions and weight of the device.
Rumoured HTC One Max specifications:
- Processor: 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ8064
- Operating system: Google Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5.5
- Display: 6-inch Full HD (1080×1920)
- RAM: 2GB
- Internal storage: 16GB
- External storage: microSD cards
- Rear-facing camera: UltraPixel
- Front-facing camera: 2MP
- Battery: 3,300mAh
- Dimensions: 164.5 × 82.5 × 10.3 millimeters
- Weight: 217 grams
The technical details received by Nowhereelse.fr make no mention of a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner but that should not be construed as proof that it will not have one.
They do point that there will be two models, the 8060 with the 1.7GHz processor (Snapdragon 600 or older S4 Pro?) listed above as well as the 809d with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor.
Hemmerstoffer also published via Twitter a specification sheet obtained from China’s TENAA website, the country’s telecommunication equipment regulator. A number of questionable specifications (such as the weight of 130 grams – lighter than the HTC One) suggest that they may be a placeholder more than official specifications. Other details, such as the 5.9 Full HD display and 32GB and 64GB variants, are far more plausible.
HTC could unveil the HTC One Max as early as October 15 (the same day that Google could unveil the Nexus 5)although alternate dates such as the 18th are also floating about.
