When images of the HTC One Max surfaced only days ago, it was difficult to get a real sense of this phablet’s size as there was nothing to compare to in the pictures. A new image has remedied this by comparing the HTC One Max to an older Motorola MOTO XT882. Not surprisingly, the HTC One Max, with its rumoured 5.9-inch display, dwarfs the older device.
The picture reveals a few more details. It looks like the HTC One Max will have more in common with the HTC One Mini than the HTC One given the more prevalent use of plastic for the sides. A small button on the top left also suggests that there could be a flap or door behind which will be the SIM and microSD card slots (also suggesting a non-removable battery). With variants planned for different markets (including a dual-SIM one for China), its’s possible that this could appear on some but not all models.
The image also appears to show a charging cable plugged into the smartphone. If so, the micro-USB port will be on bottom on the right side.
Along with the 5.9-inch FHD display, the HTC One Max will reportedly come with a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, a rear HTC UltraPixel camera and a massive 3,300mAh battery.
The HTC One Max could launch in early September in time to take on the Samsung Galaxy Note III which will be announced on September 4th. Just yesterday, HTC released a teaser that there are “Big things ahead.”
