HTC One max to be announced on October 15?

Rumoured TENAA image of HTC One max

The HTC One max (also known as the HTC T6) has been the topic of rumours for a while now and it is widely expected to launch in the coming weeks. We may now have a date for that announcement. According to a post on the Chinese social network Weibo, it will be unveiled on October 15. That date also matches what AndroidCentral has been hearing from its sources.

The HTC One max has also surfaced on China’s TENAA website, the country’s telecommunication equipment regulator, as the HTC 809d. The images posted once again reconfirm that it will likely come with a rear-facing fingerprint sensor located under the camera.

According to the latest rumours, the HTC One max is expected to come with a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro (rather than a Snapdragon 800 or 600 as earlier rumours suggested), Google Android 4.3, a 5.9-inch Full HD (1080×1920) display, 2GB of RAM, at least 16GB of internal storage, a 5MP UltraPixel rear camera and a 3,300mAh battery. Unlike many other phablets, it does not appear that it will come with support for pen input.

With an announcement on October 15, HTC should be able to get the HTC One max into customers’ hands in time for the holiday shopping season.
