Details continue to emerge about the HTC M8, likely to be the 2014 HTC flagship smartphone much as the HTC One, codenamed M7 during development, was this year.
According to the usually reliable @evleaks, we can expect it to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and Android 4.4 KitKat and pack a 5-inch Full HD (1080×1920) display. An earlier rumour had hinted at a higher resolution 2K (2048×1080) display. The 1080p display does seem to be a more plausible scenario.
Sounds like the HTC M8 is — and you could probably predict — a 5-inch, 1080p handset powered by KitKat and a Snapdragon 800.

Earlier rumours have given us a few pictures which hint at a fingerprint scanner. The HTC M8 could also be the first to sport HTC’s Sense 6.0 overlay.
The HTC M8 launch is rumoured for sometime in Q1 2014. With Samsung rumoured to be launching the Galaxy S5 earlier this year (perhaps as early as January), perhaps to make room later in the year for its new Galaxy F line, HTC does not have the luxury of waiting too long to introduce its next flagship device.
