SaskTel is the latest carrier to add the Google Nexus 5 and HTC Desire 601 to its portfolio of smartphones.
The former is the latest Nexus flagship smartphone sporting a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and a 4.95-inch Full HD (1080×1920) display along with Android 4.4 KitKat, the latest version of Android. The latter is more of a low to mid-range device with its 1.4GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and 4.5-inch qHD (540×960) display. Currently running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, it’s not clear yet whether it will be upgraded to Android 4.4.
SaskTel is offering the Google Nexus 5 starting at CA$99.99 with a two-year contract and runs up to CA$499.99 outright. The HTC Desire starts at CA$49.99 with a two-year contract and runs up to CA$299.99 outright.
