Google jumped the gun by temporarily putting the Google Nexus 5 on its Google Play store almost two weeks ago. Then, WIND Mobile did the same earlier today. Throw in a flurry of recent Google Nexus 5 rumours and it’s clear that it will soon go on sale. If you needed more proof, how about a couple of pictures of boxes of Nexus 5 smartphones sitting in a warehouse in western Canada. They were reportedly taken by an LG employee.
According to the post, some 30,000 Google Nexus 5 smartphones are already in Canada. 4,000 are in Western Canada and apparently spoken for by Bell and TELUS and another 26,000 are in Eastern Canada to supply Rogers.
The pictures also appear to confirm the leaked packaging rumour that surfaced a few days back.
At this point, we can effectively expect at least four Canadian carriers to offer the Nexus 5 very soon. The latest rumours put the carrier launch date at November 7 or 8.
Now, if Google could only make the announcement!
