With the rumoured October 14 and October 15 launch dates behind us, it’s time to turn to another round of rumours and hints for clues as to when Google will finally announce the Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat. It now looks like the @KitKat Twitter account may be dropping some hints pointing to an October 28 announcement.
It all started yesterday with a tweet yesterday suggesting “Everybody dance now!” The line is from the song Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) by the group C+C Music Factory which just happened to have originally been named The 28th Street Crew.

Today comes another tweet telling us: “Sometimes you have to look at the signs.” The words “This Is It” written out in Kit Kat bars could be a reference to the Michael Jackson movie of the same name. When did that movie first come out? October 28, 2009.

If nothing else, the October 28 date certainly lines up with that of rumours that suggested a late October announcement.
Let’s see if we get another tweet pointing to the number 28 tomorrow.
