Google and HP today announced the latest Chromebook, the HP Chromebook 11. It joins the larger HP Chromebook 14 announced in September. Like most other Chromebooks, it is relatively inexpensive at US$279 but manages to incorporate a number of new features and promises “the same obsessive attention to detail as the Chromebook Pixel.”

Unlike the Chrome Pixel, the HP Chromebook 11 will not come with a touchscreen.
The Chromebook will initially be available in the U.S. and the UK. It is hitting retailers starting today and will be on hpshopping.com on October 16. It is coming to other countries, including Canada, “in time for the holidays.” The LTE version will also follow later this year. It will sell for US$279.
