Google’s Vic Gundotra just announced via Google+ that Google will hold a livestream event tomorrow, October 29. On tap for “A Morning with Google+” are “a few updates” about Google+ itself. The event set aside two hours for the event in our calendar. While no mention is made of any device or Android 4.4 KitKat announcements, not only are we expecting one at any time now but it seems like a lot of time to set aside for a few updates. If the event is focused on Google+, it may well be a more important announcement than Gundotra lets on.
We’ll definitely be catching the event and will let you know what shakes out. The event starts at 0930 PT (1230 ET).
As for the Google Nexus 5 and Android 4.4, would it be too much to ask that Google finally let us know when that announcement will take place and put an end to all the rumours trying to guess when it will happen (October 31 is the latest rumoured date)?
