Rumours about HTC’s next flagship smartphone are gathering steam. Following a report last week that the HTC M8 would be the first to come with HTC Sense 6.0 come alleged pictures of the HTC One successor. The three pictures are not the greatest (a staple of leaked images) but give us a sense of where HTC could be headed with this device.
While the HTC M8 clearly shares the same design philosophy as the HTC One (known as the M7 during development), it also shows some differences. If the hole above the one for the camera is any indication, it could come with a fingerprint sensor, a feature first introduced this year with the HTC One Max. The case also appears to be made of a single piece of aluminium rather than the HTC One’s two. It also appears to be more rounded than but that could just be due to the poor quality and small size of the pictures.
The HTC M8 could also sport a slightly larger display than the 4.7-inch Full HD (1920×1080) one on the HTC One. The current thought points to one in the 5- to 5.2-inch range with a higher 2K (2048×1080) resolution.
In terms of other specifications, the HTC M8 will reportedly come with HTC Sense 6.0, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB of RAM.
Look for HTC to unveil the HTC M8 in early 2014.
