New information about the BlackBerryA10 emerged earlier this week, promising us a smartphone with a dual-core processor (with separate graphics processor), a 5-inch Super AMOLED display and 2GB of RAM. Now a picture of the BlackBerry A10 Aristo has surfaced as well, again courtesy of BGR, confirming an all-touch device design.
Only a few new details have emerged. Despite the large display, it appears that it will only offer an HD (720×1280) resolution. In comparison, most other competitors are using Full HD (1080×1920) displays. It also appears that the A10 will come with BlackBerry 10.2
The BlackBerry A10 appears to be very similar to the BlackBerry Z10 in overall design but perhaps with more rounded corners. The back is expected to use something similar to the woven glass back of the BlackBerry Q10.
As well, here is a screenshot of the BlackBerry A10:
There is no word yet on specific availability and pricing but the BlackBerry A10 is expected to launch in time for the busy holiday shopping season.
At one point in time back in 2012, the BlackBerry Aristo was to have come with a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor, a 4.65-inch HD (1280×720) OCTA Glass OLED display, LTE connectivity and a non-removable 2,800mAh battery. Could this have been BlackBerry’s first stab at the Aristo? If so, what happened between it and the final design?
