A couple of flagship smartphones got caught on camera posing next to each other. On the left is the still-unannounced BlackBerry Z30 (also known as the BlackBerry A10 or Aristo) and on the right is the just-announced Sony Xperia Z1. The BlackBerry Z30 has already shown up next to a number of other devices, including its Q5 and Q10 siblings, but it is the first time it is compared directly with another 5-inch device. Unsurprisingly, it appears to be about the roughly same size (the Z1’s dimensions are 144.4 by 73.9 by 8.5 millimeters).
It does not appear to be a final design but should be pretty close to what we can expect BlackBerry to announce hopefully shortly.
The image gives us little information aside from the size comparison. Past rumours have suggested it will come with a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, BlackBerry 10.2, a 5-inch HD (720×1280/295PPI) OLED display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot for additional storage, an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera and a non-removable 2,800mAh battery.
BlackBerry is expected to unveil the BlackBerry Z30 in time for the holiday season.
