Nokia just announced the Lumia 625, its largest display smartphone to date. An image leaked today suggests that the Finnish manufacturer may have something larger in mind though. It shows what appears to be a Nokia-branded front display panel with very thin bezels. According to Sina Weibo user @ictech, the unnamed Nokia Lumia device will sport a 6-inch display.
The image reveals little else of value except that the device will have the usual sensors and front-facing camera that we have come to expect from our devices.
The report adds that the device is already in mass production and is expected to launch later this year. It will run Windows Phone 8 GDR3 which is expected to add support for Full HD (1080×1920) displays and multi-core processors.
It’s not the first time that rumours of Nokia building larger devices have surfaced. This could well be the first picture of the upcoming Nokia Lumia 926 that we first heard about earlier this month and rumoured to come with a slightly smaller 5.5-inch display.
