Documents filed in the Apple-Samsung court case (getting underway today) have revealed two upcoming Samsung Windows Phone 8 mobile phones. What appears to be a timeline reveals the Samsung Odyssey and the Samsung Marco.
Both devices are powered by 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 chipsets and Windows Phone 8. Both will also be LTE-enabled (as well as support HSPA+). Described as an “iconic smartphone,” the Samsung Odyssey will also come with a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display, a rear-facing 8MP camera, a 2MP front camera, and NFC. The Samsung Marco will come with a somewhat smaller 4-inch WVGA S-AMOLED display, a 5MP rear camera, and a 2MP front camera.
The document lists both devices as launching sometime in Q4 2012, likely in line with Windows Phone 8’s release date.
