WIND Mobile yesterday announced it had finished upgrading its Alberta network to HSPA+.
The entirety of both Edmonton and Calgary are now receiving increased 4G network speeds of up to 21 Mbit/s download, 5.7 Mbit/s upload. Residents in these regions should find their service has improved greatly over the last few weeks.
WIND Mobile also announced that it had activated HD Voice, allowing those with compatible handsets to enjoy an enhanced audio experience. It is now available across its network. It first launched this capability in February 2011.
It also further expanded and improved its network with increased coverage in the North York, Mississauga, Vaughan, Oakville, Markham, Clarington and Innisfil regions.
