WIND Mobile yesterday announced the launch of two new smartphones, the LG Optimus 4X HD and Huawei Ascend G312. The former is a high-end multimedia machine while the latter promises to be “an efficient yet affordable handset that will make a great addition to WIND Mobile’s handset lineup.”

The price of the LG Optimus 4X starts at CA$199 when purchased with the WINDtab on a CA$40 plan and goes up to CA$549 with no commitments. The Huawei Ascend G312 is available from $0 on WINDtab and tops out at CA$299 outright.
