Virgin Mobile Canada to launch LTE network by March 16th

Virgin Mobile CanadaA leaked Virgin Mobile Canada internal document obtained by MobileSyrup has revealed that the carrier will launch its LTE network sometime next week, “just in time for new iPad.” It will be Canada’s fourth carrier to launch LTE after Rogers, Bell and TELUS.

As a Bell flanker brand, Virgin Mobile use Bell’s own network which now covers “6 million Canadians in 14 urban centers across Canada.” Users will see “peak speeds up to 75Mbps with average speeds falling in the 12 to 25 Mbps range.

It’s unclear what devices beyond the ‘New iPad’ Virgin Mobile will offer at launch.
