Microsoft’s Ben Rudolph (better known as Ben The PC Guy) has posted a video that takes a closer look at the new Start Screen coming to Windows Phone 7.8. The demonstration runs on a Nokia Lumia 900 with an early build but it all looks pretty good already:
The key feature is the ability to now resize tiles with three available sizes. Additional colours will also be available.
Windows Phone 7.8 will be an upgrade for current Windows Phone 7.5 devices as these will not be upgraded to Windows Phone 8. It focuses on the UI elements introduced in the new release but leaves out new functionality (such as support for multi-core processors, NFC, etc) that will come with Windows Phone 8.
