TELUS yesterday announced the expansion of its LTE network in a number of provinces. Customers with LTE devices will now see peak download speeds of up to 75Mbps with average speeds falling between 12 and 25 Mbps in the following areas:
- British Columbia:
- Kamloops
- Prince George
- South central Vancouver Island, including Greater Victoria, Nanaimo, North Saanich, Sydney, Lantzville and Gabriola Island
- Vernon, Armstrong, and Enderby
- Alberta:
- Grande Prairie
- Red Deer
- Ontario:
- Windsor and Essex County
With these announcements, TELUS now covers 65% of Ontario’s population. It also plans to offer LTE coverage to 80 per cent of Alberta’s population and 90% of British Columbians by the end of the year.
Along with these announcements, TELUS also confirmed that it will carry the just announced HTC One X+.
