In the latest version of its “Device OS Upgrade schedule,” TELUS indicates that the Android 4.0 upgrade for the LG Optimus LTE has slipped to August 20th. Earlier this month, it had been scheduled for August 7th. While TELUS provides no explanation for the delay, the fact that the testing status shows “OEM not yet submitted” suggests that LG has yet to provide the update for TELUS to do its testing.
Despite the delay, it is still better news than Canadian LG Optimus 2X owners received yesterday: It will not be upgraded at all.
Other notable updates on the document include:
- The addition of the HTC 7 Surround with an update scheduled for early August
- The disappearance of the HTC Desire HD after its update debacle
- Both the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 now have a more specific date of “mid-August”
As for the Google Nexus S, the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade began on July 20th. All owners should receive an upgrade notification by July 30th.
