TELUS continues to quickly turn on LTE in new communities across Alberta. After Camrose and Wetaskiwin, it is now the turn of Lethbridge and Taber to benefit from peak download speeds of up to 75Mbps and average speeds between 12 and 25Mbps.
“TELUS is committed to offering the best customer experience and launching our 4G LTE service in Lethbridge and Taber is an excellent example of how we’re doing that,” said Fred Weinheimer, general manager of Customer Solutions Delivery for the community. “With a 4G LTE device, our customers can enjoy the fastest wireless technology available in the world today – we are continuing to expand this new technology, community by community, so that by the end of the year more than 80 per cent of Alberta residents are expected to have access. It’s an ambitious undertaking.”
TELUS already offers a number of LTE devices such as the Galaxy S III and will soon offer the LG Optimus G, Samsung Galaxy Note II and HTC One X+ as well.
TELUS will also roll out LTE coverage to Fort McMurray and Lloydminster by the end of the year.
