TELUS today announced the launch of its HSPA+ network in Brandon, Manitoba. It also covers surrounding communities including Carberry, Austin and MacGregor.
“Through the continued expansion of our network in Manitoba, we are able to provide even more customers with a new choice for their wireless service,” said Brent Johnston, vice-president of Mobility Solutions at TELUS. “TELUS is committed to providing our customers in Manitoba and across Canada the best wireless experience in urban and rural areas from coast to coast, and we are thrilled to offer our customers in Brandon access to our blazing fast 4G network.”
Delivering download speeds of up to 42Mbps (with expected average speeds of 7 to 14 Mbps), TELUS’ 4G wireless network now reaches about 73 per cent of Manitobans.
The announcement today is part of the CA$7 million investment that TELUS is making in 2012 to improve its wireless service in Manitoba.
