Sony has halted sales of its Xperia Tablet S just a month after its launch. Sony spokeswoman Noriko Shoji explained that the manufacturer made the decision after finding a manufacturing flaw that creates a gap between the screen and the case.
The Sony Xperia Tablet S is supposed to be water resistant but the gap makes it more susceptible to water damage.
Sony has shipped about 100,000 tablets so far to Canada, the U.S., and other markets. It is offering free checkups and will repair tablets already in the hands of customers.
Sony has yet to announce when it will resume sales.
