Samsung earlier this month confirmed that it would not unveil the Galaxy S III at Mobile World Congress but would do so at a separate event “closer to commercial availability of the product” (in May?) While the launch date remains a mystery, BGR has learned from a “trusted source” that it will be launched in over 50 “markets or cities” simultaneously.
BGR‘s source added that the Samsung Galaxy S III will sport a 4.8-inch display (larger than older rumours suggested). The type of display and resolution were not specified but past rumours suggested a Super AMOLED Plus HD display. The device will also come with ceramic back rather than plastic.
Past rumours indicated that the Samsung Galaxy S III would be powered by a quad-core Exynos processor and Google Android 4.0 with the TouchWiz UI. It could also come with LTE connectivity, 2GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a 10MP camera with 1080p video capture.
