Samsung could kick off 2013 with completely new branding. According to Australia’s ChannelNews, the company is looking for a “more vibrant International brand image.” The new look could be unveiled at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show.
Samsung feels that its current brand is seen as an “Asian brand” and is looking to develop a global technology brand. The new brand will extend to advertising as well which will shift away from products to focus more on lifestyle activities.
The rebranding effort is being led by ad executive Scott Bedbury who has worked with Nike and Starbucks in the past.
It remains to be seen if Samsung will unveil new products alongside its new look at CES.
