Samsung appears to have a few more Galaxy smartphones waiting in the wings for the remainder of the year. Samsung’s flagship device will remain the Galaxy S III and these new handsets, the Galaxy S3 Mini, Galaxy S2 Plus, and Galaxy Premier, will target the mid-range pricing tier.
The Galaxy S3 Mini is as the name implies a smaller, lower-specification version of the Galaxy S III. It will reportedly come with a 4-inch WVGA (800×480) Super AMOLED display, a dual-core processor and a 5MP camera. It will sell for about €250 (about CA$310/US$315).
The Samsung Galaxy S II lineup will live on with the Galaxy S II Plus (GT-I9105). It will sport a 1GHz single-core Qualcomm processor, a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 16 or 32GB onboard storage options, a microSD card slot, and an 8MP camera. The Galaxy Premier (GT-I9260) will have identical specifications except for a larger 4.65-inch HD display, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and either 8 or 16GB onboard storage.
If the Galaxy Premier does in fact carry model number GT-I9260, it could be the rumoured next Samsung Nexus device. If so, the specifications will hopefully be better than what is reported here.
