Samsung Canada today announced the Canadian availability of its Galaxy Tab 2 tablets, the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) (with 8GB of onboard storage) and Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) (with 16GB of onboard storage) tablets. The successors to the original Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Tab 10.1, they come with modest specification upgrades as well as Android 4.0.
“We are excited to introduce the new GALAXY Tab 2 lineup to the Canadian marketplace,” said Paul Brannen, Vice President, Enterprise Business Group, Samsung Canada. “Running the highly anticipated Android 4.0 operating system, the GALAXY Tab 2 offers consumers a variety of new and improved Android OS features to enhance their productivity on-the-go.”
Geared at “multimedia fans and avid content sharers and creators,” both also come with access to Samsung’s full suite of hubs including Reader Hub, Music Hub, Game Hub and Video Hub.
The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) will sell for CA$249 and with the larger 10.1-inch model for CA$349. Both will be available from select retailers nationwide, including Best Buy and Future Shop.
