Samsung Galaxy S IV rumours have so far focused for the most part on its 5-inch 1080p HD display. New rumours have now begun to give us a sense of some of the other specifications we can expect from Samsung’s next flagship smartphone.
Among the new details coming to light is that the Samsung Galaxy S IV will be powered by a 2.0GHz quad-core Exynos 5450 SoC (codenamed Adonis) and come with a 13MP camera. The latter may be more likely as Samsung considered it for both the Samsung Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II before opting for 8MP cameras instead.
While a quad-core Cortex-A15 SoC may be just around the corner, it remains to be seen if Samsung would use it in a smartphone. It would likely deliver impressive performance with battery life a likely tradeoff unless paired with a larger battery.
With CES 2103 and MWC 2013 both coming up early next year, it remains to be seen if Samsung will use either event to unveil the Galaxy S IV or wait a bit longer and give it its own event later.
