A month ago, Samsung predicted it would hit sales of 10 million Galaxy S III smartphones sometime in July. It has met this goal earlier than expected. JK Shin, President of IT & Mobile Communications Division, confirmed to Korean publication Yonhap that sales have already topped that milestone without giving further details. That translates to sales of 190,000 units every day.
The Samsung Galaxy S III was first released in the UK on May 29th. Samsung has since been expanding global availability. It launched in Canada back on June 27th. It will eventually be available through 296 carriers in 145 carriers.
In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S II took about five months to reach the same milestone.
