Samsung today announced via Twitter that it has begun to push out Android 4.0 updates to its Galaxy S II smartphones. The rollout began in a number of European countries and Korea with other markets to follow:
#ICS for #GALAXYSII will be available today in Europe including Poland, Hungary, Sweden, & Korea, & gradually roll out to other markets.
Pocket-Lint has also learned that the UK deployment will begin the week of March 19th. Specific availability will depend on “each network’s own software approvals process.”
There are no dates yet for Canada and the U.S. According to a leaked document seen last year, Bell Mobility will deploy its Android 4.0 update for the Galaxy S II in the April timeframe. Certainly sounds plausible…
