Sales of the Samsung Galaxy Note II [specifications], the successor to the original Galaxy Note phablet, are off to a brisk start. Samsung today revealed that sales of the smartphone/tablet hybrid had topped 3 million units in the first 37 days it was available.
As it had predicted, it is selling at a faster rate than the original Galaxy Note. Samsung expects to sell 20 million by the end of the year.
It first launched in South Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Africa, China, and the United States but distribution is now widening. Sales in Canada have been hampered by supply issues. A number of carriers are planning to offer the Galaxy Note but most are still showing it as coming soon.
