Samsung yesterday announced that it has pushed out the Android 4.0 upgrade for the Samsung Galaxy Note from a Q1 release to sometime in Q2. The bad news comes with some good though as the company also announced that the udpate, dubbed a “Premium Suite upgrade,” will also include extra multimedia features and a range of new S Pen optimized applications.
“GALAXY Note continues to delight customers all over the world with its incredible versatility and unique user experience. With the Premium Suite upgrade, we wanted to add features that enrich users’ Note experience even more, including the great advantages of Android 4.0 and innovative applications for S Pen,” said JK Shin, President of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics. “We are committed to providing extraordinary experiences for consumers, and we will continue to provide new features and upgrades to enrich our offering.”
Among the new features and applications will be S Note (first seen on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1), a tool that lets you combine your notes or sketches with other digital content, and My Story, an app that lets you to create personalized digital cards using any type of content including video content, photos, text or voice.

Samsung is also offering Galaxy Note users an exclusive GALAXY Note level for the just released Angry Birds Space. An additional package called ‘Danger Zone’ with 30 new levels will also be available for free (for a three-month period).
Samsung also warns that the specific availability and scheduling will depend on market as well as wireless carrier.
