Not satisfied with announcing that sales of its Galaxy Note II had topped three million units in the first 37 days of availability, Samsung today also announced that sales of its Galaxy S III flagship smartphone have now topped 30 million units. That number includes all variants, including the I9300 international version as well as carrier-specific ones.

The Samsung Galaxy S III first hit the market about five months ago. It topped sales of 20 million units in September.
Update: Samsung Poland has pulled down both the Facebook post and a tweet with a similar message. Were the celebrations a bit premature or is Samsung HQ looking to make its own announcement to mark the milestone?
