Rumour: Windows Phone 7.8 Nokia Glory to succeed Lumia 610

NokiaNokia is not quite ready to close the book on Windows Phone 7.5. The Verge has learned that Nokia is planning a successor to its entry-level Lumia 610 powered by Windows Phone 7.5. Codenamed Glory, it will use Windows Phone 7.8 rather than the upcoming Windows Phone 8.

According to “sources familiar with Nokia’s Windows Phones,” the Nokia Glory will come with a 800MHZ processor, a 4-inch display, and 256MB of RAM.

The Nokia Glory is not expected to be unveiled at Nokia’s September 5th event which will focus on the Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820. It is likely to be out for the holiday season though.
