We may finally know the oft-rumoured Sony Hayabusa (LT29i) smartphone’s official name. Citing a “trusted” source, XperiaBlog expects the device, very similar to the Sony Xperia GX for the Japanese market, to hit the market as the Sony Xperia TX.
The name is quite similar to that of the Sony Mint (LT30p) which is expected to be known as the Sony Xperia T. Given that the two devices are very similar, the names certainly make sense.
The report adds that the Xperia T could get wider distribution and greater marketing attention (including showing up in Skyfall, the next James Bond movie) than the Xperia TX.
The Sony Xperia TX could be announced as early as the end of the month at Sony’s August 29th IFA 2012 press event. Other expected devices include the Xperia T among the Xperia Tablet S among others.
