With over 7 million Samsung Galaxy Notes sold to date, it’s no surprise that Samsung is working on a successor to its first phablet. Now a rumour suggests that Samsung will unveil this device in October, about a year after it announced the original version.
According to UbuntuLife, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will come with a dual-core Exynos 5250 Cortex-A15 processor and a slightly larger 5.5-inch WSXGA+ (1680×1050) Super AMOLED PenTile display. RAM will be increased to 1.5GB and the 8MP camera will come with an improved lens and image sensor. 4G LTE connectivity will also be available on the international version. It will also feature many of the same features as those found on the Samsung Galaxy S III such as S Beam, S Voice, NFC, and SmartStay.
UbuntuLife has also put together a mockup of what the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 could look like:
The same inspiration that led to the Samsung Galaxy S III will apparently make its way into the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
