When Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy S III, it indicated that it would come with 16, 32, or 64GB of onboard storage. It now appears that Samsung may have cancelled the 64GB model.
UK retailer Expansys has cancelled all pre-orders it received for the 64GB Samsung Galaxy S III version. A PhoneArena reader added that his order was cancelled because Samsung “has decided not to release the unit.”
Fortunately, the Samsung Galaxy S III comes with a microSD card slot. It will therefore be easy for users to go beyond the 32GB of onboard storage.
If indeed accurate, it would be interesting to find out what reasons led Samsung to this decision. Did it find that demand for this model simply did not meet that of the other ones?
