Remember that yellow Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 prototype first spotted this morning? According to NokiaInnovation, it is none other than the Nokia Phi, the Nokia 800 successor. Best of all, their source provided additional information about the device.
The Nokia Phi will borrow a number of design cues from the Nokia 900, a design that apparently impressed Stephen Elop. Here is what we can expect:
- Curved display same size or possibly larger than the Lumia 900’s 4.3-inch one
- Dual-core Qualcomm processor
- LTE connectivity
- Same polycarbonate unibody design as Lumia 800 (with sealed battery)
- External SD card slot
- NFC
- No physical buttons on the front
- 4 physical buttons on the right side: up/down vol keys, power button and camera
The report adds that the Nokia Phi will be unveiled at Nokia World 2012 along with two additional Windows Phone 8 Lumia devices. The Nokia Phi could also be available as early as the last week of October.
